Sorry about not being on top of the spam issue. As some of you may know
my son has just gone through open heart surgery and I am at hospital with
him 24/7.
As the online community builds I will appoint 'moderators' who can help out
when I am not available. In the meantime however, if any more spam should appear please call or text me and let me know. My mobile number is in the directory.
Thank you for your understanding.

Spam . . . the enemy of every community.
There are steps that can be taken to prevent or at least slow spammers, however each step usually makes the forum less convenient for the ordinary user too.
I'm not sure if phpBB has a report feature, or if there is a mod available, but it may be worth looking into.
That way, spam and offensive posts can be reported with a click of a button by any member to the site staff, who can then deal with it. |
